A Weekend Full of Love: How Nikki & Brian Turned Their Wedding at The Hideout near Kirkwood into an Unforgettable Weekend Glamping Experience

Nikki and Brian weren't looking for a wedding venue. They were looking for a place where their people could stay, breathe, and actually be together for a whole weekend. Luxury glamping wedding accommodations combined with The Hideout in Kirkwood turned out to be exactly that. We caught up with them after the fact to hear how it went.

What made you consider glamping instead of a traditional venue?

"Glamping gave us the opportunity to have essentially a mini festival with our 50 closest friends! The Hideout in Kirkwood was our perfect venue because it allowed us to manifest the experience we envisioned: bringing our loved ones together for an entire weekend of love, connection and truly getting to know each other within the most incredible nature. Glamping meant that we could experience all of those in-between moments with our people, which are precious moments that really stitch together time."

The vision of a mini festival, an entire celebratory weekend, is living and breathing gathering rather than a single event or string of events is exactly what luxury glamping makes possible for larger groups. When your guests sleep onsite, the wedding doesn't end at midnight. It continues into the next morning, and the one after that and when you're glamping as opposed to residing in hotel rooms, you just have more opportunities to hang out, it’s really just physics. Venues like The Hideout are made for this: remote, stunning, and with no sound ordinance to stop the music. Anywhere Outpost brings the comfort layer that makes it possible to do this at scale for all the closest homies.

How did your guests react to the glamping tent accommodations at an outdoor wedding?

"They absolutely loved them. The queen-size proper high-quality mattresses with high-quality linens made all the difference. It was truly luxurious. Because of the cool nighttime temperatures we ordered the extra blankets offered by Anywhere Outpost. Between the luxury portable toilets and showers and the glamping tents, our guests felt incredibly taken care of and part of the wedding experience."

Comfort matters! Especially when you're asking people to sleep outdoors, possibly for the first time. Anywhere Outpost's Casper mattresses and Brooklinen linens ensure that no guest wakes up stiff, cold, or wishing they'd booked a hotel. Nikki and Brian's guests woke up wanting to do it all over again.

What was your favorite moment from the outdoor glamping wedding experience?

"Watching our friends from different paths of our lives becoming friends and neighbors in their little glamping tent clusters. Friends seeing friends walk back home to their tents from our all-night afterparty under the moonlight and with the early morning sunrise sky."

This is the way! Friends from different chapters of a life, wandering home under the shimmering Milky Way, which is o so visible at 7,000 ft, after an all-night celebration is something no hotel ballroom with gorgeous hotel rooms can replicate. The kind of memory that lives forever.

Were there any hidden gems in terms of value once everyone was staying onsite?

"Oh, the experience of having your friends on-site at your wedding , there is no price to this. It's truly THE BEST. It transforms your wedding from a series of events to a full weekend experience."

This is what couples and their guests say they would do again without hesitation! When your guests are onsite, everything changes, especially when they are staying in glamp tent clusters that encourage conversation and camaraderie. The conversations go deeper, the connections last longer, and the wedding becomes something far greater than a gathering; they really truly build community.

What advice would you give other couples considering glamping?

Nikki and Brian came with some genuinely great practical tips:

"Absolutely highly recommend:

  1. Rent nice toilet and shower trailers and hire an on-site assistant to keep them clean and restocked daily.

  2. If there is a chance that nighttime will be chilly, rent the extra blankets and potentially buy an extra blanket as a gift for each tent.

  3. Hire an on-site chef. David Camber of Camber Events was outstanding , our guests still talk about the meals he prepared daily."

Wise words from a couple who thought of everything. The details add up , and when they're done right, your guests feel it at every moment of the weekend.
