How One Tent Changed Emily & Lucius's Wedding Weekend

Most weddings last five hours. Guests fly in, share a meal, watch the vows, dance a few songs, and head back to their hotels. Beautiful, but brief.

Emily and Lucius wanted something different for their Cuffeys Cove wedding in Mendocino. They wanted their guests to actually connect. So they added one thing in addition to their glamping and camping accommodations: a lounge tent.

What They Were After

"We wanted our wedding to feel less like a one-day event and more like an experience shared with the people we love most. We loved the idea of our guests slowing down, staying together, and having meaningful moments beyond just the wedding itself. Late night conversations, morning fog, and a real sense of community. It felt true to who we are and how we wanted to celebrate love: intentional, whimsical, grounded, and deeply connected." Emily told us.

The Tent Became the Heart of the Weekend

Anywhere Outpost set up the lounge with plush cushions, soft lighting, and an atmosphere that invited people to stay awhile with soft organic rugs, lowlying seating and tables both inside and outside the tent. It quickly became the hub where different corners of their lives mixed together.

"Our guests absolutely loved it. The lounge tent quickly became a gathering place for connection and rest. We loved seeing people from different parts of our life connect and get to know each other. It gave everyone permission to slow down and really enjoy each other in a way that doesn't often happen at traditional weddings. Also a great spot for our guests who had little kids with them!" Emily reminisces.

The Moments They'll Never Forget

Lucius and Emily recall "Our favorite moments happened late at night after the wedding, when the formalities were over and everyone ended up in the lounge, still dressed up, sharing post-wedding giggles, stories, and quiet reflections from the day. It felt so intimate and joyful!"

"The next day, the lounge transformed into the perfect place to rest and gather again for brunch. Curling up on cushions, catching up, reliving favorite moments, and talking about the highlights from the night before. Having that space to both celebrate and gently land together made the whole experience feel complete and deeply connected."

The Simple Idea

A lounge tent doesn't replace your venue. It adds to it.

People may not remember the flower arrangements or the glaze on the ribeye. But they will remember how they felt cozying up on a sheepskin in a bell tent late at night, talking with new and old friends.
